D4D Mode — Drive for Dollars

D4D (Drive for Dollars) mode transforms PropIntel into a field canvassing tool. Activate it when you are physically driving or walking through a neighborhood to identify investment opportunities. Pro+

Activating D4D Mode

Tap the car icon in the TopBar to activate D4D mode. The interface changes:

  • GPS tracking activates — The map centers on your current location and follows you as you move
  • Map becomes primary — The DataGrid minimizes to give maximum map visibility
  • Quick-info cards — Tapping a parcel shows a compact info card instead of the full Detail Panel
  • One-tap tagging — A single tap adds the property to your D4D session list

During a D4D Session

As you drive, the map scrolls with your GPS position. Parcels around you are visible with their distress indicators:

  • Properties with distress signals are highlighted (colored borders or badges)
  • Tap any property to see address, owner, value, and distress status
  • Tap the tag button on the info card to add it to your D4D list
  • Properties you have tagged show a marker so you know what you have already flagged

Your D4D List

After your driving session, review all tagged properties:

  • See them on the map with your driving route
  • Export the list as CSV for follow-up
  • Run AI scoring on your D4D list
  • Add them to a permanent property list for ongoing tracking

Best Practices

  • Install PropIntel as a PWA first — Full-screen mode works better for D4D. See Install PropIntel on Your Phone.
  • Pre-load offline cache — Before heading out, download map tiles and parcel data for your target area. See D4D Offline Caching.
  • Drive slowly — GPS accuracy improves at lower speeds.
  • Focus on distressed neighborhoods — Use the Distress Heatmap to plan your route before driving.
  • Take notes — The D4D info cards support quick notes about property condition.

Session Sync

If you lose cellular connectivity during a session, your tagged properties are stored locally. When connectivity resumes, the session syncs automatically to the server.
